Suicide attackers targetting mosques kill at least 42 in Afghanistan
KABUL: A suicide bomber killed 32 people including women and children and wounded 41 others when he blew himself up in a mosque in Kabul on Friday, officials said.
"Unfortunately this evening a suicide bomber detonated himself among the worshippers inside a mosque in Dasht-e-Barchi neighbourhood of Kabul city," Kabul police spokesman Abdul Basir Mujahid told AFP.
The interior ministry confirmed the toll of 32 dead and 41 wounded.
A senior security official said the exact number of casualties was unknown but that security forces at the scene had removed at least 30 bodies.
In another attack in Doleena district in Ghor province, a suicide bomber detonated his explosives close to a mosque and killed at least 10 people, reported TOLO News.
